Abstract This study was carried out for the seismic analysis of offshore wind turbines by seismic load. The seismic waves of the ground were selected using Conditional Mean Spectrum (CMS). A total of five seismic waves were selected by searching seismic waves corresponding to CMS calculated from the NGA-East seismic database. The seismic responses of the selected seismic waves were analyzed in order to consider the influence of the soil layer. As a result of the ground response analysis, the seismic response spectrum of the seabed surface was amplified about two to three times compared with the bedrock seismic wave, and the maximum amplification was observed in the natural period of 0.3 second. Seismic analysis of the offshore wind jacket supporting structure was performed using the estimated seismic waves. As a result of the analysis, DRS can be used for conservative design. However, when economic efficiency is taken into account, a large magnitude earthquake wave must be selected.
