Title 풍력타워의 구조형식별 설계경제성 분석 (A Study on Economic Analysis of Different Type of Wind Towers)

Abstract Although the cost of wind tower is relatively high comparing to the total cost of wind power system, only few studies have been done regarding its economic analysis. In this study, three different types of 2 MW wind towers (i.e., steel tower, concrete tower, hybrid tower) are designed and their construction costs are compared. In order to investigate the effect of hub height on tower construction cost, three different hub heights (i.e., 100 m, 120 m, 140 m) for each wind tower are selected. Construction costs of the total of 9 wind towers are estimated based on domestic unit price standard, and main items consisting of the construction cost are analyzed. The analysis results show that the most economical structural type is steel tower in case of 100 m hub height, but in case of 120 m and 140 m hub heights, hybrid tower consisting of steel shell and concrete shell is the most competitive in terms of construction cost.
